Harris Bogner, ex-Cadogan CCO Joins to Provide Outsourced CCO Services
NEW YORK – In response to increased demand for outsourced compliance services in the marketplace, Avalon Lake Partners has brought on Harris Bogner, an attorney and compliance expert, to head its compliance services group.
Mr. Bogner’s role at Avalon Lake Partners will be to work directly with clients to ensure they develop a strong understanding of their compliance obligations while providing them with practical, cost-effective solutions.
Avalon Lake Partners recently spun-out from WTP Advisors to focus on providing a comprehensive set of advisory services to the alternative asset management industry, namely hedge funds, private equity firms and family offices.

As former Chief Compliance Officer for Cadogan Management, LLC and Compliance Manager at Bessemer Trust, Mr. Bogner is being brought on at an especially critical moment, as second-round filers are now confronted with filing Form PF. In addition to addressing the task of completing and filing the Form PF, investment advisers have an extensive amount of regulatory demands placed on them due to other new regulations imposed on members of the financial services industry since Congress passed the Dodd-Frank Act.

About Harris Bogner
Harris Bogner has nearly 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to launching Avalon Lake Partners, Harris was a Director with WTP Advisors' Capital Markets Division focusing on outsourced CCO and compliance support. Previously, Harris served as the Chief Compliance Officer of Cadogan Management, LLC and as the Compliance Manager at Bessemer Trust. Additionally, he was counsel to the Mitchell Hutchins Asset Management Compliance Department, a subsidiary of PaineWebber/UBS, and was an associate in the Morgan Stanley Asset Management Legal & Compliance Department. He has extensive experience working with asset management and broker dealer compliance programs and specializes in the supervision and execution of compliance activities for registered investment advisory firms, registered funds and alternative investment funds. Harris earned his B.A. from the University at Albany and his J.D. from New York Law School. He holds a Series 7 license and is admitted to the New Jersey bar.
